EDM oil is typically a mineral oil-based fluid with low viscosity, high flash point, and good electrical conductivity characteristics. Dielectric fluids are used in electrical discharge machining procedures. It also helps to cool the workpiece, preventing overheating and warping, and flushes away the dust created during the machining process. Our EDM oil functions as a dielectric medium, or an electrical insulator, allowing the electric current to pass through and produce sparks without harming either component. By removing material with a series of electric sparks between an electrode and the workpiece, the manufacturing process known as EDM is used to shape metal parts.
